Find your way out of work and into a vocation that you would continue even if you won the lottery and could retire without worry of ever needing to work for money again. That is an early retirement.
The numbers are grim for the future. If you're retiring now then consider yourself lucky to be at the tail end of the gravy days of Social Security, Medicare, and a working economy. It may not be so nice in the future.
